Rajiv is the founder Chairman and CEO of Sasken Communication Technologies Limited. He started the company in 1989 along with his friends in San Jose, USA. In 1991, Rajiv returned to India to expand the operations of the company.

Under his able leadership, Sasken has grown into a major technology and solution provider to worldwide customers in the area of Telecom Access Market, making Sasken a pioneer in telecom R&D outsourcing.

Rajiv, a seasoned technocrat and an industry veteran, has worked with corporations like Advanced Micro Devices, Seattle Tech Inc., and VLSI Technology Inc in the US before founding Sasken. His expertise lies in design, development and integration of physical design tools for Gate-Array and Standard Cell Design Styles. He has co-authored a Patent in the area of physical design. He has also presented papers at the ICCAD conference.

Rajiv won the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award in 1999. He is also the Executive Council Member of NASSCOM since 2001.

He obtained the Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from M.S University, Baroda, India and Master’s degree in Computer Science from Brooklyn Polytechnic, New York - USA.

Mr. C.S. Rao is the Managing Director of Intel's WiMAX Program Office for South Asia and Middle East. He is also the Chairman of WiMAX Forum India chapter. Prior to joining Intel, Mr. Rao was Chairman and CEO of Quadgen Wireless Solutions Inc, USA.

He has held numerous leadership positions in the Indian Telecom Industry. These include Managing Director of British Telecom India, President and CEO of Lucent India and Managing Director of Tellabs India. He was one of the founding members of C-DOT and also held the General Manager position at C-DOT. Mr. Rao has received numerous awards and recognitions such as: Business Leadership Award from Assocham, National Research & Development Council (NRDC) award from President of India and Innovation, Leadership & Achievement Awards from Tellabs and Lucent. He is credited with starting Lucent Bell Labs in India. Mr. Rao holds B.Tech. and M.Tech. degrees from IIT-Madras.
