Mobile India 2011’s Focus: Mobile Broadband and the Cloud
Mobile India 2011 will explore developments and business models for applications, services and content that can be provided over broadband mobile networks. With the country ready to witness mobile broadband revolution, the space is wide open for the eco-system comprising of content providers, content aggregators, platform providers, handset makers, network equipment manufacturers, valued added service providers, Mobile Virtual Network Operators, Internet Service Providers, and Mobile Network Operators to innovate and scale their operations. |

Associated with the above developments are the cloud technologies that promise to provide applications and services over a common network on a pay-per-use basis with the advantages of economies of scale and scope.
As voice is commoditized, it is expected that content will play a major role for the successful adoption of mobile broadband network services. There are a host of unsolved issues in content regulation including copyright and revenue sharing amongst different entities of the mobile value chain, and the hotly debated issue of “net neutrality”. In a spectrum constrained environment, the above issues assume paramount importance for promoting wide-spread usage of mobile broadband services efficiently by the eco-system partners. Can the eco-system partners come together with appropriate policy and regulatory measures to make it a win-win situation for all? Mobile India 2011 will try to find answers to these questions through three panels comprising of some of the best minds and leaders in the telecom world.
In the concluding session, emerging mobile broadband applications and solutions in the areas of UID, healthcare, and entertainment will be demonstrated by experts.
