Poster Session - Call for Submissions

COMSNETS 2010 - The Second International Conference on COMmunication Systems and NETworkS (COMSNETS) http://www.comsnets.org/, Bengalooru, India, January 5-10 2010.

THE SECOND International Conference on COMmunication Systems and NETworkS (COMSNETS) will be held in Bangalore, India from 5 January 2010 to 9 January 2010. COMSNETS is a premier international conference dedicated to addressing emerging topics and challenges in Networking and Communications Systems. The goal of the conference is to create a world-class gathering of researchers from academia and industry, practitioners, business leaders, intellectual property experts and venture capitalists, providing a launch pad for new innovative business and technology. The conference will include a highly selective technical program consisting of two parallel tracks of submitted papers and a small set of invited papers on important and timely topics from well-known leaders in the field.

COMSNETS 2010 will also feature a poster session as part of its technical program. The intent of the poster session is to showcase promising but early stage contributions which are in line with the topics of interest of the main tracks. Selected posters will be displayed in the centrally located Esquire Hall to enable close interactions between presenters and participants. The poster session will be co-located with Demos and Exhibits session, to facilitate interactions between academic and industry researchers.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Internet architecture and protocols
  • Network-based applications
  • Video Distribution (IPTV, Mobile video, Video on Demand)
  • Operations and management of large networks
  • Local and Metro Area Networks, including Wireless
  • Broadband and Cellular Networks (3G/4G, WiMAX/LTE, UWB)
  • Mesh and Sensor Networks
  • Software in wireless communications (cognitive radios, dynamic spectrum access, SDR)
  • Wireless operating systems and mobile platforms
  • Optical Networks
  • Network Security
  • Cloud and Utility computing
  • Storage area networks
  • Next generation Web architectures
  • Vehicular Networking

Submissions are solicited for the poster session in the form of a two page extended abstract that describes the essential elements of the background and the problem the authors are attempting to solve, followed by a concise description of available and expected results. Authors who have submitted to the main track of the conference may also be given an opportunity to resubmit their work to the poster session, as deemed appropriate by the technical program committee. Authors should use the same submission format as recommended for the main track, but restrict their submission to two pages only. Please see the main track submission guidelines. The authors of accepted posters must guarantee that their poster will be presented at the conference. For accepted posters, the two page extended abstract will be included in the conference proceedings published by IEEE. At least one author of each accepted poster must be registered for the conference for that poster to appear in the proceedings and be scheduled for presentation. Relevant dates are as per the following table. Further guidelines pertaining to the size and format of the posters will be advertised shortly
